All school students studying in Latvia and/or holding a Latvian passport are eligible for participation in the Olympiad.
Compared to other Science Olympiads, it is much more important for participants of a Linguistics Olympiad to have the problem set in their native language as well as to write the solutions in it. Problem sets in Latvian and Russian are prepared in advance, however, if you want to write the Olympiad in any other language, please contact the organizers as soon as possible.

There is no fee to participate in the Latvian Olympiad in Linguistics. Students representing team Latvia that participate in the International Olympiad in Linguistics do not have to cover their team registration fee or other related expenses.
