The 11th Latvian Olympiad in Linguistics has ended. Twelve high school students with the best results at the first round of the Olympiad took part in the second round, where they had to solve four problems over the course of five hours. The problems proved to be quite hard, however, the maximum possible number of points for them was higher than for the first round problems. The winners were determined based on the sum of the points for both rounds of the Olympiad. A table with detailed results is available below. Contestants with the four best results were invited to represent Latvia at the 11th International Olympiad in Linguistics in Manchester.
Congratulations to the winners and many thanks to all of the participants, we hope to see you next year!
